The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kauan Vides stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tostão de Sousa hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Hamílton Mendonça made an important save on a dangerous shot by Délio Sá in the 58th minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Kauan Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borussia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauan Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Borussia's Délio Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 68 minutes, Délio Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elói Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavinho Leal having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
