Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hamílton Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lech Spychalski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, JEC - FC's Julio Baptista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hamílton Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 26 minutes into the game, Julio Baptista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Hamílton Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Baptista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamílton Mendonça having to make a save. In the 42nd minute Pero Šiljak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamílton Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Baptista in the 44th minute of the match. If Pero Šiljak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to JEC - FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tostão de Sousa was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Pirracao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tostão de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Geovani Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes in the game, Julio Baptista fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hamílton Mendonça having to interfere. Hamílton Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio Galvão in the 79th minute of play. If Julio Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Liu Xiang Zhen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JEC - FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liu Xiang Zhen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Pero Šiljak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lech Spychalski in the 84th minute of play forced Pirracao's goalkeeper Hamílton Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pirracao's zone, Julio Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamílton Mendonça came out of the goal and Julio Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Mendonça having to interfere. JEC - FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
