Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mário Félix made the kick off which started today's match. Andrézinho Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Félix in the 5th minute of play. After 6 minutes of play, Corinthians-Ba's Noel Eger made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrézinho Mendonça was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andrézinho Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, Limoeiro Do Norte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Pereira to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Rafa Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrézinho Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Félix in the 21st minute of the match. Osvaldo de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Andrézinho Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Esteves in the 28th minute of play forced Limoeiro Do Norte's goalkeeper Andrézinho Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Limoeiro Do Norte's Andrézinho Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo de Senna in the 31st minute of play. Andrézinho Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Esteves in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Rafa Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limoeiro Do Norte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafa Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrézinho Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mário Félix went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After the first half Corinthians-Ba were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Noel Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Noel Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians-Ba's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrézinho Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafa Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Andrézinho Mendonça made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Álvaro Esteves sent off a good shot on target. Corinthians-Ba's Nestor Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Maia in the 67th minute of play. Limoeiro Do Norte's Rafa Tinoco got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mário Félix struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Andrézinho Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians-Ba. Osvaldo de Senna hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Rafa Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th match minute, Corinthians-Ba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Vargas to maneuver through the defense. When Rafa Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Limoeiro Do Norte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafa Tinoco couldn't finish the play. Noel Eger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrézinho Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Andrézinho Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Limoeiro Do Norte's Roger Lago seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Roger Lago the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Limoeiro Do Norte protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roger Lago had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Limoeiro Do Norte:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Corinthians-Ba:s goal. Anselmo Maia fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 102nd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot.
