After having played for 23 minutes, Diguinho Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmas FC Formosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diguinho Saraiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alessandro Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubinho Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. With a little luck, Palmas FC Formosa's Alessandro Vale got control of the ball when Romário Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. YouTube Futebol Clube's Kauã Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodriguinho Berger in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rodriguinho Berger made the kick off in the second half. In the 77th minute, Betinho Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st match minute, YouTube Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Palmas FC Formosa were awarded a corner. Nilmar do Vale went to the cornerflag to take it. Rubinho Alves's late challenge caught a Palmas FC Formosa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rubinho Alves helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Palmas FC Formosa booed when YouTube Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 minutes of play YouTube Futebol Clube's Rubinho Alves was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Rubinho Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
