Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Corinthians-Ba's Mário Félix started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians-Ba's zone, Válter Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Abraão came out of the goal and Válter Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Corinthians-Ba booed when Chucky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mário Félix came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Corinthians-Ba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Félix couldn't finish the play. After 18 minutes, Noel Eger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corinthians-Ba and the Chucky players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Corinthians-Ba getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Noel Eger hit a great ball. Abelardo Dante hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 26 minutes, Mário Félix mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corinthians-Ba and the Chucky players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mário Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Válter Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chucky's supporters rose to their feet, but Válter Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Corinthians-Ba's Nestor Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Corinthians-Ba from getting a goal against them. Mário Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Edgar Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Mário Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Chucky's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Esteves came free, but Edgar Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Armandinho Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Corinthians-Ba got a freekick which was hit by Armando Vasconcelos. Válter Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Abraão having to interfere. Válter Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Álvaro Esteves struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Edgar Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians-Ba. 65 minutes into the game, Armandinho Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chucky's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corinthians-Ba the free kick. In the 66th minute, Armandinho Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Válter Correia took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Abraão. Nestor Abraão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Álvaro Esteves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Edgar Rosado made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Álvaro Esteves got free with Edgar Rosado in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Corinthians-Ba's Nestor Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armandinho Barbosa in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Noel Eger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgar Rosado. Chucky's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Noel Eger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Nestor Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho Barbosa in the 93rd minute of the match.
