With a left leg Edgar Rosado saved Chucky from getting behind. In the 14th minute Torreao were awarded a corner. Doriva Zanette went to the cornerflag to take it. Erik Pereira was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. João Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Chucky's zone, Serginho Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Rosado came out of the goal and Serginho Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgar Rosado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. João Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Rosado having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Válter Correia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hernani Bezerra. Torreao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Válter Correia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, João Moreno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Torreao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The supporters of Chucky booed when Torreao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute of the match Jonas de Amaral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hernani Bezerra skillfully saved the ball. Abelardo Dante hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Válter Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Bezerra having to interfere. The Torreao fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Torreao's João Moreno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. João Moreno's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Edgar Rosado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 85th match minute, Chucky was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson Recife to maneuver through the defense. João Moreno struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Edgar Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Torreao. In the 94th minute, Torreao's Serginho Souza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. When the match was over Torreao could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chucky throughout the match.
