Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Anselmo Maia got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Chucky's Adilson Recife sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrézinho Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgar Rosado was a little too slow when Anselmo Maia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Andrézinho Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Barbosa in the 11th minute of play. Edgar Rosado made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Anselmo Maia sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armandinho Barbosa in the 18th minute of play forced Limoeiro Do Norte's goalkeeper Andrézinho Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Limoeiro Do Norte defense, Armandinho Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrézinho Mendonça. The Limoeiro Do Norte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrézinho Mendonça should have stopped the shot. When Anselmo Maia came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Limoeiro Do Norte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Maia couldn't finish the play. In the 38th match minute, Chucky was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Perivaldo Barreto during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Limoeiro Do Norte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perivaldo Barreto to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Válter Correia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrézinho Mendonça was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Anselmo Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Válter Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Chucky were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armandinho Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Toninho Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 51st minute of the match Régis Cosme shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgar Rosado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rafa Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselmo Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafa Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Limoeiro Do Norte's Andrézinho Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Limoeiro Do Norte from getting a goal against them. Edgar Rosado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Maia's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Anselmo Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Rosado having to interfere. Andrézinho Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho Barbosa in the 79th minute of the match. Anselmo Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Osvaldo Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Rosado came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Limoeiro Do Norte's Anselmo Maia. But to his dismay, Anselmo Maia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 91stth minute of the game Anselmo Maia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chucky's Edgar Rosado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Maia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgar Rosado was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Osvaldo Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limoeiro Do Norte's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Rosado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Limoeiro Do Norte's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
