Zé Pedro de Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Maia's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Zé Pedro de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Maia in the 18th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Didi Sergipano made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Rafa Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wanderson Toledo hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Velasco got free with Andrézinho Mendonça in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Anselmo Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Maia in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Pedro de Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
