In the 18th minute Claudinei Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeferson Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Robinho de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Thiago Paulista got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 47th match minute, Praia Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Penha to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Gustavo Cardozo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Robinho de Azevedo. Praia Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinei Lucas to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Roger Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dário Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dário Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Praia Clube getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Sydney Valadares hit a great ball. Claudinei Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Dário Eger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robinho de Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
