Serafim Alagoano ran back to his position shaking his head. Chicão Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 minutes, Valério Jacinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Londrina Esporte Clube and the Pinhal Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute of the match Reinaldo Travassos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Tepedino skillfully saved the ball. In the 30th minute, Leonardo Neto fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Natanael Barreto, passed just outside the right post. Natanael Barreto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonardo Neto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. If Leonardo Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serafim Alagoano to strike the kick off in the second half. Sílvio Sena's late challenge caught a Pinhal Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Sena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, Londrina Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Sena to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Cordeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Tepedino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Neto in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natanael Barreto saved Pinhal Futebol Clube from getting behind. Leonardo Neto struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Natanael Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Londrina Esporte Clube. Natanael Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson de Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ronaldinho Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Londrina Esporte Clube's Genílson de Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Natanael Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Simões in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Londrina Esporte Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
