If Cláudio de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Cardoso in the 6th minute of the match. Elói Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Falcão Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Oliveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falcão Fonseca having to make a save. In the 12th minute, Pintinha's Elói Fantini ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Falcão Fonseca. Falcão Fonseca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Pintinha's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio de Barros came free, but Gabriel Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gabriel Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rivers's goalkeeper Falcão Fonseca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elói Fantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th match minute, Rivers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. After 30 minutes, Sandro Cardozo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rivers and the Pintinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Rivers got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Cardozo. Rivers's Falcão Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Rivers from getting a goal against them. Sandro Cardozo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Falcão Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Oliveira in the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Rivers's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Fantini came free, but Falcão Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rivers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 49 minutes, Pintinha's Murilo da Mata got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Falcão Fonseca. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elói Fantini to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 58 minutes, Danilo Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pintinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Danilo Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Falcão Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio de Barros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Gabriel Ribeiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jean Cardoso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gabriel Ribeiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Jean Cardoso slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 68th minute. When Danilo Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Pintinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Oliveira couldn't finish the play. Pintinha's Elói Fantini got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cláudio de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gabriel Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean Cardoso's late challenge caught a Pintinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean Cardoso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Jean Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute Danilo Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
