The referee ignored Londrina Esporte Clube's protests and gave Serafim Simões a yellow card for diving instead. Miguel Tepedino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Fantini in the 17th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafim Alagoano got free with Gabriel Ribeiro in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Londrina Esporte Clube's Serafim Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Londrina Esporte Clube booed when Pintinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Londrina Esporte Clube's Genílson de Amorim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gabriel Ribeiro. Genílson de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ribeiro having to interfere. Londrina Esporte Clube's Serafim Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Londrina Esporte Clube's Serafim Alagoano got a free kick in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Elói Fantini made the kick off in the second half. Murilo da Mata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miguel Tepedino. Londrina Esporte Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Serafim Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Neto couldn't finish the play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genílson de Amorim couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Pintinha defense, Genílson de Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Ribeiro. The Pintinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Ribeiro should have stopped the shot.
