Jonathan Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Cléberson Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chalet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléberson Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Geovânio Fernandez fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monte Azul Crows's protests and gave Geovânio Fernandez a yellow card for diving instead. Geovânio Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. A hard shot by Carlos Maia from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Branco's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Chalet booed when Monte Azul Crows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes of play Monte Azul Crows's Geovânio Fernandez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Geovânio Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Ricardo Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chalet's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Vinhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Branco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Branco made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Cléberson Pitta sent off a good shot on target. William Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Branco having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anderson das Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Monte Azul Crows's goal looked a bit too open when Cléberson Pitta came free, but Jonathan Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anderson das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Ramalho having to interfere. Cléberson Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléberson Pitta couldn't finish the play. Natanael Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jonathan Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anderson das Neves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Rodolfo Ramalho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 71st minute, Anderson das Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monte Azul Crows fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 74th match minute, Monte Azul Crows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson das Neves to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the game, Jânio de Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monte Azul Crows's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chalet the free kick. The supporters of Chalet booed when Monte Azul Crows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jânio de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Vinhas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Branco was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After 81 minutes of play, Chalet's Cléberson Pitta made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Branco was left in no man's land by his defense there!
