With a little luck, SELETIMÃO's Sydney Alvarenga got control of the ball when Dino Trancoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roberto Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute Rubinho Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 20 minutes, Roberto Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SELETIMÃO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Erasmo dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Centro Sportivo Alagoano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SELETIMÃO the free kick. Erasmo dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Mendonça in the 32nd minute of play forced Centro Sportivo Alagoano's goalkeeper Douglas Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Centro Sportivo Alagoano getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Erasmo dos Santos hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Rubinho Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Douglas Arruda. Centro Sportivo Alagoano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rubinho Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rubinho Mendonça scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Douglas Arruda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half SELETIMÃO were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Jacinto de Sena made the kick off in the second half. Roberto Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Arruda having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Roberto Linares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Douglas Arruda. Centro Sportivo Alagoano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Linares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Jacinto de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Sydney Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-4 became the score in the 70th minute when Rubinho Mendonça elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sydney Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Trancoso in the 77th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Rubinho Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Centro Sportivo Alagoano's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Mendonça came free, but Douglas Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dino Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Centro Sportivo Alagoano fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SELETIMÃO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
