The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 7th minute, Lauro Mesquita made a precise shot to the right of Ronaldinho Pimenta. Legolas Futebol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ronaldinho Pimenta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matheus Lira in the 13th minute. Gil Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matheus Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Pimenta having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pirajui FC's Renatinho Macedo got a free kick in the 20th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Legolas Futebol Club's William Costa tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Legolas Futebol Club fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Legolas Futebol Club's Anselmo Branco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ronaldinho Pimenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Mangueira in the 26th minute of play. Matheus Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldinho Pimenta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matheus Lira in the 32nd minute. Anselmo Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luiz Fernando Martins fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legolas Futebol Club's protests and gave Luiz Fernando Martins a yellow card for diving instead. Luiz Fernando Martins hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Gil Mangueira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Gil Mangueira made the kick off in the second half. Jano de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Barreto in the 54th minute of play. Anselmo Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jano de Barros having to interfere. Renatinho Macedo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. William Costa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Gil Mangueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldinho Pimenta was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 67th match minute, Legolas Futebol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fernando Martins to maneuver through the defense. Dedé de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. With a little luck, Pirajui FC's Jano de Barros got control of the ball when Anselmo Branco tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Legolas Futebol Club booed when Pirajui FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Legolas Futebol Club's William Costa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pirajui FC. Jano de Barros was a little too slow when Pedro Barreto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 3-2. After having played for 94 minutes, Anselmo Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Legolas Futebol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Legolas Futebol Club's Jano de Barros threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pedro Barreto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Anselmo Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Jano de Barros made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pirajui FC had won after a very even match.
