Abelardo Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Guaraipos FC booed when Paraju was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Felipe Nogueira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Paraju getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Emanuel Vergílio hit a great ball. If Abelardo Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Vargas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abelardo Antunes's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Abelardo Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaraipos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelardo Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Felipe Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paraju's Emanuel Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hélio Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renan Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Renan Quirino made the kick off in the second half. When Felipe Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Guaraipos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Nogueira couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Paraju's zone, Abelardo Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Vargas came out of the goal and Abelardo Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Felipe Nogueira sped through Paraju's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Simão Vargas. Simão Vargas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipe Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Simão Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. A collision led to Paraju getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Charles Falcão hit a great ball. Paraju's Simão Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Antunes in the 71st minute of play. Simão Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Felipe Nogueira scored 5-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simão Vargas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guaraipos FC's Abelardo Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abelardo Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Abelardo Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaraipos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Vargas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Nogueira in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simão Vargas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the Guaraipos FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
