Douglas Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Ceresso in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Centro Sportivo Alagoano getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Juninho Trevisan hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Hílton Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucas de Alcântara to make the kick off. Douglas Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Floresta de Nottinghan walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
