The goal made the score 2-0. 20 minutes into the match, Paraju's goalkeeper Simão Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcinho Teles. Genílson Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo do Valle having to interfere. The supporters of Galattasharay SC booed when Paraju was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Paraju's Emanuel Vergílio got a free kick in the 33rd minute. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
