Spectators: 6653 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 0) Cherente's Edu Amorim started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of TheShield FC booed when Cherente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Juan Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renato Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Cristóvão Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Juan Bittencourt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TheShield FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cristóvão Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Edu Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristóvão Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 played minutes TheShield FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Queiroz. With a little luck, TheShield FC's Dudu Gaspar got control of the ball when Mateus Motta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dudu Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Amorim in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Mateus Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cherente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateus Motta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mateus Motta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Dudu Gaspar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Bittencourt to strike the kick off in the second half. Dudu Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the TheShield FC defense, Edu Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dudu Gaspar. The TheShield FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dudu Gaspar should have stopped the shot. In the 66th of the match, Juan Bittencourt tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Cristóvão Ribeiro got in the way and made a wonderful save. TheShield FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Moisés Melo in the 70th minute. Moisés Melo made a great header on TheShield FC's corner, it was just that Cherente's Cristóvão Ribeiro managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in TheShield FC's zone, Mateus Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dudu Gaspar came out of the goal and Mateus Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Cherente getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Vladimir Vieira hit a great ball. Cristóvão Ribeiro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Moisés Melo. If Mateus Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. TheShield FC's Claudinho Nunes suffered a sore thigh after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimir Vieira during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vladimir Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Edu Amorim struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Dudu Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cherente. Mateus Motta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renato Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Ribeiro having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
