Diego Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fernando Batista in the 27th minute of play. When Glauco Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Mocidade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glauco Arruda couldn't finish the play. Mocidade's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CACIQUE FC the free kick. Diego Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Meireles in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 96th minute Chico Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
