Spectators: 7266 (Terracing: 5451, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ian Prata kicked off to start the match. In the 12th minute Alfredo Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 played minutes Machado F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Aguiar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Rossi got free with Murillo Peres in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilson Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Prata in the 18th minute of the match. Armando Rossi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Murillo Peres skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 43 played minutes Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Tony Marques. Alfredo Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílton do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After 48 minutes, Alfredo Sousa made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Benfica's Murillo Peres tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Sousa to make the kick off. A collision led to Benfica getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ademar Pombal hit a great ball. After 62 played minutes Tiago Gabriel Custódio shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Benfica's Murillo Peres to catch but Tiago Gabriel Custódio was lucky. It became 2-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Tiago Gabriel Custódio's late challenge caught a Benfica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Gabriel Custódio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th minute, Tiago Gabriel Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Mandrak's late challenge caught a Benfica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Mandrak helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Machado F.C.'s Luís Mandrak got a free kick in the 90th minute. When Roger Sá fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Machado F.C.'s protests and gave Roger Sá a yellow card for diving instead. 92 minutes into the game, one of Machado F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Machado F.C.'s Gilson Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Prata in the 98th minute of play. Murillo Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Rossi in the 101st minute of the match. Machado F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Benfica for a fine match.
