The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Fabiano Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Galvão in the 6th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Chico Galvão made a precise shot to the right of Luís Fabiano Aparecido. Power Rangers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Power Rangers's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Aparecido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 11 minutes, Adilson de Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Power Rangers and the CACIQUE FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Power Rangers's Adilson de Queiroz got a free kick in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, CACIQUE FC's Maurinho Rossi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Fabiano Aparecido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Chico Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot. CACIQUE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chico Galvão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fabiano Aparecido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chico Galvão took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Fabiano Aparecido. Luís Fabiano Aparecido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Luís Fabiano Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Rossi in the 36th minute of play. Maurinho Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adilson de Queiroz hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Chico Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CACIQUE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chico Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Luiz Domingues hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Chico Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chico Galvão to make the kick off. Chico Galvão was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. CACIQUE FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Betinho Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Motta in the 56th minute of the match. Maurinho Rossi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Luís Fabiano Aparecido when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Power Rangers's Luís Fabiano Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Galvão in the 62nd minute of play. Maurinho Rossi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Luís Fabiano Aparecido when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Power Rangers's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Aparecido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurinho Rossi. Hortêncio Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Maurinho Rossi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Chico Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, CACIQUE FC's Chico Galvão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Fabiano Aparecido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Chico Galvão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luís Fabiano Aparecido, 0-5. If Maurinho Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Power Rangers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CACIQUE FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
