Brusque Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fidelis the free kick. After 3 played minutes Brusque Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Délio Novaes. Fidelis's Gil Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Tavares in the 6th minute of play. Júlio Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Ramalho having to interfere. If Fabinho Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th match minute, Brusque Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio Novaes to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute of the match Valério Pena shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesinha Santana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 20th minute Júlio Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Fabinho Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fidelis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabinho Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Fidelis booed when Brusque Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Fidelis's Valério Pena broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Brusque Futebol Clube's zone, Fabinho Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesinha Santana came out of the goal and Fabinho Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alessandro Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Santana having to interfere. Guilherme Pombal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gil Ramalho having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alessandro Alves made a kick off. Luís Eduardo Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Ramalho having to interfere. Brusque Futebol Clube's Cesinha Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Alves in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Fabinho Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fidelis's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabinho Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesinha Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cesinha Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Alves in the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st match minute, Brusque Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio Novaes to maneuver through the defense. Guilherme Pombal had several of the Fidelis's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 87 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Gil Ramalho as he didn't even see the shot coming. Alessandro Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Santana having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Brusque Futebol Clube walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
