Spectators: 7354 (Terracing: 5516, Seating: 1691, VIP seats: 147) Mathias da Costa made the kick off and thus started the match. Claudinho Aguiar charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinho Aguiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Selefla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, MARTS's Ernani Branco tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathias da Costa in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruninho Arósio saved MARTS from getting behind. Mathias da Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruninho Arósio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Bruninho Arósio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Warren Buffet. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raí Quadros got free with Bruninho Arósio in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruninho Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias da Costa in the 33rd minute of play. Raí Quadros might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruninho Arósio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raí Quadros ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in MARTS's zone, Carlos Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Arósio came out of the goal and Carlos Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 38 minutes of play, Selefla's Raí Quadros made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruninho Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, MARTS's Bruninho Arósio got control of the ball when Raí Quadros tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Almeida to make the kick off. Selefla's Kaká Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Almeida in the 51st minute of play. Bruninho Arósio came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Selefla's Nico Salgado. But to his dismay, Nico Salgado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Selefla getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Carlos Barral hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, Percival Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute of the match Claudinei de Mendonça sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruninho Arósio skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in MARTS's zone, Mathias da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Arósio came out of the goal and Mathias da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Raí Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias da Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruninho Arósio having to make a save. If Mathias da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mathias da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Selefla had played much better football throughout.
