Cesinha Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Selefla's goalkeeper Kaká Santana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guilherme Pombal. Kaká Santana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Pombal in the 18th minute. Kaká Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Tavares in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Quadros in the 42nd minute of play forced Brusque Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Cesinha Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathias da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Santana having to interfere. When Mathias da Costa came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Selefla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias da Costa couldn't finish the play. If Claudinho Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86thth minute of the game Mathias da Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brusque Futebol Clube's Cesinha Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
