Kaká Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Claudinho Aguiar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After having played for 53 minutes, Mathias da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selefla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias da Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Pontes in the 75th minute of play forced Selefla's goalkeeper Kaká Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demolidores FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
