Spectators: 6657 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) Barranquinho's Rafa Neves started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Augusto Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Almeida in the 3rd minute of the match. Bruninho Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Neves in the 13th minute of play. MARTS's Hugo Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 19 minutes, Nicolas Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MARTS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Barranquinho getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Lenílson Fernandes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barranquinho's zone, Nicolas Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Augusto Silveira came out of the goal and Nicolas Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Barranquinho's Bruninho Arósio threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafa Neves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Barranquinho's zone, Nicolas Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Augusto Silveira came out of the goal and Nicolas Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barranquinho's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Barranquinho defense, Nicolas Prestes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Augusto Silveira. The Barranquinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Augusto Silveira should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the game, Rogério Peixoto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bruninho Arósio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 49th minute of the match MARTS got a corner. Barranquinho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernani Branco ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led MARTS's Perivaldo Domingues to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Augusto Silveira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Almeida to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicolas Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, MARTS's Pedro Augusto Silveira threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hugo Almeida, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rogério Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Bruninho Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, Barranquinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenílson Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. When Remo Loureiro fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barranquinho's protests and gave Remo Loureiro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Barranquinho's Remo Loureiro got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Ernani Branco sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Barranquinho's Pedro Augusto Silveira didn't even have to move. Hugo Almeida struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Pedro Augusto Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MARTS. Pedro Augusto Silveira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Claudinei Queiroz. After 74 minutes, Rafa Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barranquinho and the MARTS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicolas Prestes spun around in front of the goal 76 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Barranquinho's goal. Remo Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Nicolas Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Peixoto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruninho Arósio having to make a save. Rafa Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
