MARTS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aírton Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, Fidelis's Gil Ramalho got control of the ball when Nicolas Prestes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hugo Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Ramalho having to interfere. Fidelis's Gil Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Almeida in the 41st minute of play. After 42 played minutes Fidelis got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Vargas. Hugo Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Ramalho having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 91st match minute, MARTS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. MARTS's Bruninho Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save MARTS from getting a goal against them. Hugo Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gil Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fidelis's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
