Delfim Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Tiago Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itacaja SS. The coaching staff of Itacaja SS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Perivaldo Coutinho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 38th minute, one of Itacaja SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Itacaja SS. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Mateus da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itacaja SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateus da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 89 minutes of play, Itacaja SS's Reinaldo Pitta made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiago Macedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Donato Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Batista in the 98th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Boqueirao F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
