When Cristian Batista came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Boqueirao F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Batista couldn't finish the play. Ludovico FC's Carlos Eduardo Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Álvaro Donato charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Donato the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Álvaro Donato hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Ludovico FC's Dalmo Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Cabral in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Boqueirao F.C were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Noel Rezende made a kick off. After some careless play in the Ludovico FC defense, Ramiro Cabral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dalmo Almeida. The Ludovico FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dalmo Almeida should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Rezende in the 76th minute of play forced Boqueirao F.C's goalkeeper Tiago Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frédson Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Macedo having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Dalmo Almeida successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 81 minutes of play, Boqueirao F.C's Cristian Batista made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Boqueirao F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
