Spectators: 7345 (Terracing: 5511, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joélson Souza started the match with the kick off. Vivaldo Tinoco came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Selefla's Raí Quadros. But to his dismay, Raí Quadros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Tupiniquins's Cauã Tepedino got a free kick in the 7th minute. Mathias da Costa took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vivaldo Tinoco. Vivaldo Tinoco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Tupiniquins's Cauã Tepedino got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Davi Saraiva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vivaldo Tinoco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias da Costa in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vivaldo Tinoco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th match minute, Tupiniquins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Tupiniquins's Vivaldo Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raí Quadros in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Selefla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Salgado to maneuver through the defense. After 29 played minutes Selefla got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Aguiar. The audience was convinced that Mathias da Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vivaldo Tinoco was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. After some careless play in the Tupiniquins defense, Raí Quadros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vivaldo Tinoco. The Tupiniquins fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vivaldo Tinoco should have stopped the shot. Joélson Souza struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Kaká Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tupiniquins. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathias da Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Mathias da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selefla's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kaká Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Souza in the 58th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tupiniquins's zone, Mathias da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Tinoco came out of the goal and Mathias da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tupiniquins's Vivaldo Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias da Costa in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson Souza in the 65th minute of play forced Selefla's goalkeeper Kaká Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute of the match, Raí Quadros got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vivaldo Tinoco was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mathias da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Tinoco having to interfere. Teodoro Teles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kaká Santana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Nico Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selefla's supporters rose to their feet, but Nico Salgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Ceresso during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tupiniquins's João Ceresso got a free kick in the 78th minute. Vivaldo Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The supporters of Tupiniquins booed when Selefla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 played minutes Selefla got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Aguiar. In the 94th match minute, Selefla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Lima to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute Teodoro Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Santana having to interfere. The Selefla supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Selefla would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
