After 4 played minutes, Brusque Futebol Clube's Agnaldo Maciel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valdir Lopez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brusque Futebol Clube reached it. 9 minutes into the match, Brusque Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Cesinha Santana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kiko Cabral. If Joélson Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Berigui booed when Brusque Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Brusque Futebol Clube's Diguinho Valladares seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Diguinho Valladares the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Brusque Futebol Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Diguinho Valladares had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 14 minutes into the game, one of Brusque Futebol Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Michel Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Agnaldo Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Guilherme Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kiko Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Cesinha Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kiko Cabral struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Cesinha Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berigui. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Cesinha Santana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Berigui's Joélson Arruda in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brusque Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Leonel Penha hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guilherme Pombal made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Kiko Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesinha Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 63rd match minute, Berigui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Berigui getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Luisão Baiano hit a great ball. Brusque Futebol Clube's Agnaldo Maciel shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Valdir Lopez but with some difficulty. If Kiko Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Joélson Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesinha Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson Arruda in the 86th minute of play forced Brusque Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Cesinha Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Berigui getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Joélson Arruda hit a great ball. Kiko Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesinha Santana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joélson Arruda went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Berigui fans cheered their team off the field, for while Brusque Futebol Clube had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
