After a defensive mix-up in SE TICO MIA's zone, Frank Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 22nd minute, Matheus Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Almeirim AD were furious when Pedro Augusto Toscano was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 24 minutes into the game, one of Almeirim AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Túlio Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Mota having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when César Messias got free with Abel Mota in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 34 minutes, Edinho Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almeirim AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edinho Bittencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Almeirim AD's Frank Pimenta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cléber Furlan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Túlio Teles to make the kick off. Many of Almeirim AD's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Almeirim AD may have spent more time on the ball, but SE TICO MIA were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
