Wesley Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Natanael Romero's late challenge caught a S. E. Roca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natanael Romero helped the player get up and apologised. João Augusto Santana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnaldo Saraiva went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of S. E. Roca booed when Oiteiras AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Oiteiras AD's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Saraiva came free, but João Augusto Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes Oiteiras AD got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Bittencourt. João Augusto Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Saraiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humberto Bittencourt hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Oiteiras AD's Wesley Pereira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerson Terra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Natanael Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Gerson Terra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oiteiras AD. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wesley Pereira to make the kick off. With a little luck, Oiteiras AD's João Augusto Santana got control of the ball when Gualter Gonçalves tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Oiteiras AD's zone, Arnaldo Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Augusto Santana came out of the goal and Arnaldo Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gualter Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto Santana having to interfere. Gerson Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Pereira in the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Wesley Pereira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gerson Terra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 75th minute Wesley Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Oiteiras AD getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Zeca Ramalho hit a great ball. If Claudinho Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A hard shot by Caco Freire from long distance, 79 minutes into the match, got João Augusto Santana's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Inácio Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute.
