Beverini's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fábio das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fellipe Domingues in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sadettin Tayman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Beverini booed when Cara de Pau FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benê Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Paulo Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vitório Godoi hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 47th match minute, Beverini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fellipe Domingues to make the kick off. The Beverini fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Cara de Pau FC's Sadettin Tayman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Domingues in the 90th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beverini's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
