Rueiros's Raimundo Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Rueiros from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the match, Miguel Mattos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimundo Almeida. Rueiros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Mattos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 34 minutes into the match, Gabs Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Veloso came free, but Mark Molin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mark Molin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cícero Veloso in the 36th minute of the match. Cláudio Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guto Coelho hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Dionísio couldn't finish the play. Rueiros's Raimundo Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Saldanha in the 79th minute of play. Cícero Veloso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mark Molin came out and tried to block the shot, but Cícero Veloso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 81st minute. Rueiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Cícero Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Molin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 96 minutes of play, Rueiros's Yuri Baptista made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mark Molin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Gabs Football Club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rueiros were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
