Aloísio Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Válter Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After recieving a nice pass, Mango Nas Paleta FC's Jerônimo Veiga tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Aloísio Rocha made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 25thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Décio Guedes would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. With 31 minutes on the clock, Jerônimo Veiga commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mango Nas Paleta FC! The referee gave ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦ a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. After a rather tough play, Mango Nas Paleta FC's Manfredo Reis got a free kick in the 74th minute. Christiano Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Linares having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s zone, Aloísio Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Décio Guedes came out of the goal and Aloísio Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christiano Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
