When Afonso Sanches fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s protests and gave Afonso Sanches a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s Afonso Sanches got a free kick in the 13th minute. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olavo Lopes was slow to take the kick. During this time Selvagens F.C's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Selvagens F.C's corner Olavo Lopes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Décio Guedes quite easily take care of the ball. Conrado Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Guedes having to interfere. When Conrado Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Selvagens F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Tasso couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the match, ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Tasso came free, but Décio Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel Pontes to make the kick off. Selvagens F.C's Cristiano Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Cardozo in the 56th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Selvagens F.C's Oscar Fernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Décio Guedes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Décio Guedes made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Alfons Melberg sent off a good shot on target. Cristiano Alcântara came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s Christiano Cardozo. But to his dismay, Christiano Cardozo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Christiano Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Dalmo de Amorim put in a rough tackle. Abel Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Cristiano Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Cardozo in the 89th minute of the match.
