Rogério Cenić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. A collision led to Xanere getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Osvaldo Romero hit a great ball. In the 41st minute of the match Caririmirim AD got a corner. Xanere's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Evandro Domingues ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 43rd play minute Benjamin Pontes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Paulo Félix. 4-0. If Gilson de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The supporters of Caririmirim AD booed when Xanere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Pontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Caririmirim AD's Paulão Maranhense in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rogério Cenić made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Nilmar Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute, Cícero Breckenfeld left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xanere fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Caririmirim AD's Paulo Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio de Barros in the 65th minute of play. Paulo Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio de Barros in the 70th minute of play. If Paulão Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Caririmirim AD's Gilson de Lima slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogério Cenić. That made the score 5-1 after 72 minutes of play. 76 minutes into the match, Caririmirim AD's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Romero came free, but Paulo Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidnei Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Nilmar Nascimentos short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Rogério Cenić to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rogério Cenić made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Gilson de Lima sent off a good shot on target. Xanere's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
