Sílvio Luiz Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo da Cunha in the 5th minute of play forced Os Maestros FC's goalkeeper Cristian Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedito da Fonseca lost his temper 10 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Geraldo Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egídio Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Devitte FC's Délio Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd match minute, Os Maestros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo da Cunha in the 27th minute of play forced Os Maestros FC's goalkeeper Cristian Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Délio Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinei Torres hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 42 played minutes, Devitte FC's Dinei Torres shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristian Mota came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Devitte FC reached it. Valdo da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Mota having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdo da Cunha to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Devitte FC's Paulinho Massa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Devitte FC's Basílio Tepedino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristian Mota. That made the score 0-2 after 57 minutes of play. After 67 played minutes Os Maestros FC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Rocha. Edgard Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Basílio Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Valdemar Branco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Os Maestros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Devitte FC the free kick. In the 83rd minute, one of Os Maestros FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Os Maestros FC. Cristian Mota had in the 85thth minute some difficulties stopping Dinei Torres's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Valdo da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Mota having to interfere. In the 98th match minute, Os Maestros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléber Secco to maneuver through the defense. Dinei Torres was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 99th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match was over Devitte FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Os Maestros FC throughout the match.
