In the 3rd match minute, Os Maestros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Queimabota FC booed when Os Maestros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wellington Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Sílvio Luiz Custódio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Os Maestros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano de Almeida came free, but Cristian Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Mota was a little too slow when Nico da Fonseca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Cristian Mota didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nico da Fonseca went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Cristian Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luiz Custódio notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Queimabota FC's Dito de Amaral. Dito de Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Dito de Amaral made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Edgard Vander sent off a good shot on target. Marcelo Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Cristian Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano de Almeida struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Cristian Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Queimabota FC. Frank Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Queimabota FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Dito de Amaral, was totally fooled by Os Maestros FC's Rômulo Pena, who 77 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Nico da Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Queimabota FC's protests and gave Nico da Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. Rômulo Pena hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Ricardinho Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Vander made in the 96th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Frank Barral however managed to control. Queimabota FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
