Trepadeira Atlético Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Valdemar Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of Santoryu FC booed when Trepadeira Atlético Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorival Salgado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruy Cardoso having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorival Salgado in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruy Cardoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Renan Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mathias Galvão fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santoryu FC's protests and gave Mathias Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. Mathias Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Pedro Paulo Moraes made in the 24th minute of the game a quick throw-in and João Vítor Messias immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to Santoryu FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Wilton Reis hit a great ball. Ramiro Prestes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Renan Pinheiro made a huge save. If Régis Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruy Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Salgado in the 42nd minute of play. Isaltino das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ruy Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Régis Negri was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Santoryu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Salgado came free, but Ruy Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renan Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Galvão in the 60th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Dorival Salgado took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Ruy Cardoso to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Prestes in the 80th minute of play forced Trepadeira Atlético Clube's goalkeeper Renan Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave Santoryu FC a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. Santoryu FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Trepadeira Atlético Clube to leave the ground with a draw.
