Naldo Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arí Pinho having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Giovani Trancoso rounded Tambaqui FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. The supporters of Dragoes da Real FC booed when Tambaqui FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Eduardo Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Edmundo Gaspar sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tambaqui FC's Robinho Amaral didn't even have to move. Robinho Amaral came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Dragoes da Real FC's Raimundo Cavalcante. But to his dismay, Raimundo Cavalcante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wiliam Cruz during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Dragoes da Real FC got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Cruz. Naldo Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arí Pinho having to interfere. Renato Perez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arí Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robinho Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dragoes da Real FC's Arí Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Dragoes da Real FC from getting a goal against them. Renato Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Arí Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renato Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani Trancoso in the 83rd minute of play forced Tambaqui FC's goalkeeper Robinho Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Zé Paulo Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arí Pinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naldo Simão in the 87th minute. With an all-out effort, Tambaqui FC's Arí Pinho threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Renato Perez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Dragoes da Real FC's zone, Renato Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arí Pinho came out of the goal and Renato Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tambaqui FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Dragoes da Real FC had won, even though Tambaqui FC had held more of the ball.
