Mateus Freitas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oséias Koehler was the one to do the kick off. Clube Atlético Marrento's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Elano Quadros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mateus Freitas, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Marrento's Cleiton Luz got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Álvaro Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elano Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carnaubas's Mateus Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Xavier in the 96th minute of play.
