Spectators: 7206 (Terracing: 5406, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dida Vander made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 3 minutes, Acácio Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaucho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Acácio Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute, Giovanni Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Rossi in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulysses Correia saved Gaucho from getting behind. Dida Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho Terra having to interfere. Dida Vander might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rubinho Terra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dida Vander ran back to his position shaking his head. Acácio Hoffmann's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Rubinho Terra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dida Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gaucho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! The referee gave São Paulo a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luís Eduardo Maranhense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gaucho's Ulysses Correia. 0-1. 25 minutes into the game, Duarte Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. São Paulo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaucho the free kick. Duarte Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Dida Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho Terra having to interfere. With a little luck, São Paulo's Rubinho Terra got control of the ball when Acácio Hoffmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Acácio Hoffmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rubinho Terra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Rubinho Terra came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Gaucho's Acácio Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Acácio Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 40 played minutes Gaucho got a freekick which was hit by Willian Gonçalves. Hermínio Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Hermínio Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Ulysses Correia made a huge save. If Acácio Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaucho's goalkeeper Ulysses Correia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ronaldo Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ulysses Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute Ronaldo Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Acácio Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Rubinho Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldo Rossi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Ulysses Correia 66 minutes into the match. Ulysses Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldo Rossi in the 69th minute. Acácio Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Duarte Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cido Nogueira's late challenge caught a Gaucho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cido Nogueira helped the player get up and apologised. Cido Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Acácio Hoffmann took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubinho Terra. Rubinho Terra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Hermínio Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ulysses Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Gaucho got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Pinheiro. Renan Passos charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renan Passos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Renan Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaucho's goalkeeper Ulysses Correia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gaucho fully deserved thier win.
