To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Agape FC booed when Beco EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Ruy Galvão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beco EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agape FC the free kick. In the 24th minute, Ruy Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Eduardo Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Soeiro in the 30th minute of the match. If Leonel Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Dé do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agape FC's Carlos Eduardo Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Soeiro in the 34th minute of play. After some careless play in the Agape FC defense, Leonel Soeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Eduardo Dionísio. The Agape FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Eduardo Dionísio should have stopped the shot. 47 minutes into the game, Claudinho Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Agape FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beco EC the free kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
