Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raimundo Galvão started the match with the kick off. If Régis Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the game, Juarês Paes lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Edmílson de Medeiros. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubinho da Fonseca during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute, Rubinho da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute Régis Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juarês Paess short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Edmílson de Medeiros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Edmílson de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Régis Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th match minute, Canutão Borges FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubinho da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Edmílson de Medeiros made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Juarês Paes sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Régis Sá in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmílson de Medeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Régis Sá received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edmílson de Medeiros came out and tried to block the shot, but Régis Sá slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 28th minute. Edmílson Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Régis Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dig F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Régis Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmílson de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute Zé Augusto Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute Raimundo Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Régis Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Régis Sá's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmílson de Medeiros was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 51st match minute, Canutão Borges FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráuzio Berger to maneuver through the defense. Rubinho da Fonseca hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the game, Juarês Paes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Edmílson de Medeiros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Canutão Borges FC's Dráuzio Berger shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 60th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Edmílson Vides but with some difficulty. Edmílson de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Dig F.C's Juarês Paes. But to his dismay, Juarês Paes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Raimundo Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Edmílson Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmílson de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Régis Sá in the 67th minute of the match. Edmílson de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Régis Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Canutão Borges FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Waldemar Salles hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Juarês Paes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmílson de Medeiros. Canutão Borges FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juarês Paes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Edmílson de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dig F.C fully deserved thier win.
