Rolinho Compressor B's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rolinho Compressor B's Beto Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Mesquita in the 13th minute of play. The Massuim AD fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Massuim AD's Dedé Maia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Massuim AD's Cléberson Pombal got a free kick in the 19th minute. Olívio Falcão made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Marquinhos Branco sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Massuim AD's goalkeeper Olívio Falcão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 28 minutes, Gonçalo Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rolinho Compressor B's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rolinho Compressor B's Marquinhos Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erivaldo Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olívio Falcão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marquinhos Branco in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute, Claudinho Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dedé Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Massuim AD were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artur Fernandes to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Dedé Maia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Massuim AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A collision led to Massuim AD getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Cléberson Pombal hit a great ball. Erivaldo Mesquita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Beto Silva skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Erivaldo Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Massuim AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erivaldo Mesquita couldn't finish the play. Cléberson Pombal hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Artur Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Falcão having to interfere. Marquinhos Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Erivaldo Mesquita notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Rolinho Compressor B's Beto Silva. Beto Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th match minute, Massuim AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Washington Botelho to maneuver through the defense. If Artur Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Massuim AD walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
