Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Arcadia's João Schmidt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gonçalo Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Ernani Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 played minutes CORMERCIAL FC got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Passos. CORMERCIAL FC's Gonçalo Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in CORMERCIAL FC's zone, Marcus de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo de Queiroz came out of the goal and Marcus de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, CORMERCIAL FC's Gonçalo Vasconcelos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldinho Dantas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcus de Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Schmidt in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo de Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Arcadia's Tomé da Cunha got a free kick in the 45th minute. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arcadia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Eduardo Sarmento was slow to take the kick. During this time CORMERCIAL FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Carlos Eduardo Sarmento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Arcadia's Osvaldinho Dantas did a great save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonçalo Vasconcelos to make the kick off. If Marcus de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd match minute, Arcadia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. Arcadia's Osvaldinho Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Vasconcelos in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute of the match, Ernani Berger got a very nice opportunity to score, but Osvaldinho Dantas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of CORMERCIAL FC booed when Arcadia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Vasconcelos in the 61st minute of play forced Arcadia's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernani Berger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldinho Dantas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Arcadia's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Dantas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernani Berger. After 72 minutes, Magno Koehler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arcadia and the CORMERCIAL FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Arcadia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magno Koehler to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, João Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitinho Madureira hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Perivaldo de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus de Sena in the 81st minute of play. Gonçalo Vasconcelos scored 1-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldinho Dantas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The CORMERCIAL FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Arcadia from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
