Thanks to some nice moves Dráusio Mello could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Lúcio de Moraes however easily saved by the left post. After 5 minutes, Carlos Eduardo Moreno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CORMERCIAL FC and the Balalu SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Balalu SC booed when CORMERCIAL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eduardo Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ernani Berger came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the CORMERCIAL FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernani Berger couldn't finish the play. Lúcio de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dráusio Mello in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Gonçalo Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo de Queiroz having to interfere. Dráusio Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, CORMERCIAL FC's Gonçalo Vasconcelos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lúcio de Moraes. Lúcio de Moraes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Thanks to some nice moves Ernani Berger could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Lúcio de Moraes however easily saved by the left post. 36 minutes into the match, Balalu SC's goalkeeper Lúcio de Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonçalo Vasconcelos. 41 minutes into the game, Nestor Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balalu SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CORMERCIAL FC the free kick. A collision led to Balalu SC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Nestor Penha hit a great ball. When Nico Aparecido came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Balalu SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nico Aparecido couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Balalu SC defense, Ernani Berger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio de Moraes. The Balalu SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio de Moraes should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Gonçalo Vasconcelos made the kick off in the second half. Gonçalo Vasconcelos scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lúcio de Moraes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute Ernani Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Balalu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dráusio Mello came free, but Lúcio de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Penha struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Perivaldo de Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balalu SC. 63 minutes into the match, Dráusio Mello notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Balalu SC's Lúcio de Moraes. Lúcio de Moraes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Ernani Berger fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CORMERCIAL FC's protests and gave Ernani Berger a yellow card for diving instead. Gonçalo Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Balalu SC's Lúcio de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Berger in the 73rd minute of play. Nestor Penhas short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Perivaldo de Queiroz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nico Aparecido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lúcio de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Vasconcelos in the 83rd minute of the match. Balalu SC's Lúcio de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Berger in the 84th minute of play. Lúcio de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dráusio Mello went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Lúcio de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Lúcio de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Batista in the 98th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CORMERCIAL FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Balalu SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
